Pico 4 VR Headset

Game installation 

“I am unable to install the game”

a. Game file

  1. Do not change the default downloaded file name of the software.
  2. Extract your downloaded file with an external application (7zip or winrar).

 

b. Pico settings

  1. Update your Pico 4 VR headset to the latest version.
  2. Check and make sure that your developer mode in the Pico 4 VR headset is activated, with the debug settings on and USB connection set to file transfer.

 


Launching the game 

“I am unable to find the game in my Pico headset”

  1. Make sure that your game installation is installed successfully.
  2. You can find the game in your library, unknown, VTKDU.

 


Waiting room and in-game movement 

“My arms and legs are not moving”

a. Controllers

  1. Your controller may have been disconnected causing the arms to be unable to track.
  2. Hold on to the controller home button to turn the controller back on.

 

b. Pico headset

  1. Your Pico headset may be running low on battery (20-30%) which stops the headset from powering the dongle for the AXIS nodes.
  2. Charge your Pico headset to full battery for the next use.
  3. Re-plug your dongle to the dongle attachment.
  4. Turn off and on your AXIS nodes.

 


In-game height 

“My opponent in the game is taller than me/I am taller than my opponent”

a. Calibration

  1. Make sure that your calibration is done properly.
  2. Facing forward with feet shoulder width apart and arms in a T-pose, make sure to press ‘Y+trigger’ on your left controller first, followed by ‘B+trigger’ on your right controller.

 

b. Pico floor level

  1. The Pico floor level may have been set wrongly.
  2. Go to your Pico main menu, quick settings, and ‘play boundary’.
  3. Redraw your play boundary and set your floor level.
  4. You have to reach to the floor with your controller to let the headset recognize where the ground is.

 


Game view and boundary 

“Am I supposed to play in the game arena view or am I supposed to be able to see my surroundings?”

  1. You are supposed to be able to see your surroundings while you play the game.
  2. This is a safety feature for players to be aware of their surroundings.
  3. Press ‘A’ on your right-hand controller to enter the game pass-through mode.

 

“My opponent has disappeared, and I only can see my surroundings”

  1. You may have stepped out of your Pico headset boundary.
  2. Go to your Pico main menu, quick settings, and ‘play boundary’.
  3. Redraw your play boundary and set your floor level.
  4. Draw a bigger boundary (VTKD recommended 4x4m space) if space suffice so that you will remain in the game.
